Automation and AI opportunities

A grounded look at where AI and automation can genuinely save time in your business, and, just as importantly, where they are not worth it. Targeted improvements with clear payback, not hype projects.

You keep hearing that AI will transform your business, but the advice is either breathless hype or so vague it is useless, and you cannot tell what actually applies to you.

I look at your real work and identify the specific places where automation or AI would save meaningful time, then tell you plainly where it would not.

You spend effort only where there is a clear return, and you can make confident decisions instead of reacting to noise.

You worry about pouring money into an AI project that sounds impressive but never earns its keep.

I start small and practical, with targeted improvements you can measure, rather than a grand programme that is hard to justify.

You get real time savings you can point to, and a sensible basis for deciding whether to go further.

AI where it actually helps

There is a lot of noise about AI, and very little of it starts with your business. My approach is the other way round. I look at how your work actually happens, then identify the specific spots where automation or AI could save real time, reduce a genuine bottleneck, or take a tedious task off someone’s plate.

Sometimes that means using AI to draft, summarise, sort or extract information that a person currently handles by hand. Sometimes it means plain automation with no AI involved at all. And sometimes the honest answer is that it is not worth it yet, which is just as useful to know.

Practical, not performative

AI is a capability, not a badge. The point is better work, not being able to say you use it. I focus on improvements that are targeted, measurable, and easy to justify, rather than an impressive-sounding project that quietly never pays back.

Starting small keeps the risk low. A focused pilot that saves a few hours a week tells you far more than a big strategy document, and gives you a real basis for deciding whether to go further.

An honest read on the hype

Part of the value here is simply a grounded second opinion: someone who understands the technology but has no interest in selling you more of it than you need. Where AI genuinely helps, I will show you how. Where it does not, I will say so.
